An Experiment on the Public's Reaction to Gay PDA

This is a very interesting social experiment about gay couples being affectionate in public. CHeck out the video:

On a personal note, my partner and I have overcome the insecurity of being affectionate in public. And thus far, we haven't encountered any harsh comments...

Probably because Filipinos are just more tolerant? I don't know. Probably because people would rather not say their thoughts out loud. Whatever the case maybe, we're thankful that we're lucky enough to NOT experience public persecution in the way shown in this video.

How about you, dear reader? What are your thoughts on the experiment? Are you and your partner open about your relationship? Do you shy away from PDA? If not, how does the public react to you?

My Partner and I live in Jacksonville, FL USA and we do display PDA here. We are in the "bible" area of the country so we do get some comments and other things but not too bad. We feel it is our opportunity to educate people about the gay community. It is really fun when we have my 2 children 8 year old boy and 6 year old girl with us. My partner happens to Filipino as well. I think that the Pinoy are much more tolerant that the Americans. Oliver and I just bout our first house together after almost 2 years together and it is great. Love the video.

those people who stood up in defense of the gay couple are really sweet.

I'm curious what the reaction would have been if the two gays had been regulars at the bar -- as opposed to strangers. Strangers can provoke issues of hospitality (and also xenophobia) that are independent of the gay question.

NGAYON ANG IKA 111st NA ANIBERSARYO NG ARAW NG KALAYAAN NG PILIPINAS. Paano
